Tibor Machan  (May 15)

When Tibor Machan passed away recently, the Objectivist and freedom movements lost a prolific spokesman.

Those who wish to honor his memory are invited to a celebration of his life and achievements in Santa Barbara, California, Sunday, May 15. Please contact Kate Machan (katemachan[at]gmail.com, 646.701.3180) for details and to RSVP.

Donald Heath  (April 30)

Rebecca Reale, Robert Bidinotto, and Debra Ross have announced “a celebration of the life, work, and humor of Donald Heath, who passed away suddenly in New York City on March 25, 2016. Because Don was a great lover of science and reason, we are holding this event at Liberty Science Center, on Saturday, April 30, from 3pm-5pm, in their Observation Tower. Please join us as we remember Don's many accomplishments, not least of which was his remarkable ability to connect people with each other.”

Please visit the EventBrite page for the event to register or contribute in Don’s memory.

Ed Snider  (April 21)

Ed Snider founded the Philadelphia Flyers hockey club and went on from there to build a large and highly successful enterprise. He was a true visionary in the sports and entertainment industry, and a towering figure in the City of Philadelphia. Among his many philanthropic causes, he served as a trustee of The Atlas Society for many years. At our 50th anniversary celebration of Atlas Shrugged in 2007, Ed gave a wonderful talk about his start in business, the impact of the novel, and his meetings with Ayn Rand.

Comcast Spectacor, the Philadelphia Flyers, and the Snider Family invite fans and friends to gather at the Wells Fargo Center on Thursday, April 21, to celebrate the life of Ed Snider. The event begins promptly at 1 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Doors to the Wells Fargo Center will open at 11:30 a.m.
